  • Sometimes it's hard being a chef to not be super critical. The Fisherman Player was cooked well and tasted good. I expected more for the price. Excellent tartare sauce, the Cole slaw was flat and needed some seasoning. The GFs risotto was warm and I would not call it risotto. It was starchy and needed salt

  • Our meals were delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was just right! We had the lobster roll, the fish tacos, hamburger, and chicken salad. I would definitely eat here again.

  • Cape Cod is such a beautiful place to visit, you want to enjoy the view wherever you can. One of those spot is called Captain Kidd, and is a quite nice size. The inside is large, with nice high ceiling and lots and lots of seating. The interior is heavy with woods, with big wooden fish swilling around near the ceiling. It has sort of fishing cabin feeling to it. But the best seats in the house is actually outside the house…their waterfront outdoor seating! This area is not as large as the inside, but it certainly comes with a beautiful view of the water, boats, and yes, nice breathe! We a few drinks, including Village Sangria, Harvard Cup, and Frozen Blackberry Margarita. The sangria didn't have any cut up pieces of fruits in it, which was a bit disappointing. But, the flavor itself on all the drinks were good. For food, we ordered two appetizers to share, Crispy Salt & Pepper Calamari and Crunchy Onion Rings. They were both good, addicting and disappeared quick, especially the calamari. For main, we ordered Fried Clam Plate, Simple Salad with Lobster Salad, Cape Cod Shore Dinner, Signature Lobster Roll, and Fisherman’s Platter. The food was all very tasty, drinks were good, although not excellent. The price point is a bit high on seafood dishes, but that is common in most restaurants, especially if they are offering something really fresh. So, I would say the price was worth the quality of the food we received. The portion of the food was quite good too. The service was friendly, warm and attentive. The server took a good care of us.

  • Great spot in Woods Hole. We had lobster rolls, shrimp cocktail and clam chowder. The lobster rolls and clam chowder were great. It’s nice when the lobster rolls have a lettuce wrap at the bottom of the roll to prevent it from being soggy. The price was a little ridiculous and the shrimp was very chewy. Worth going once for the views.

Our server struck the perfect balance of friendliness and expertise, making the experience even better. The artichoke dip and calamari were flavorful and well-executed, and the cod was cooked to perfection. We’ll definitely be back.

  • Does it get any better than this? The views were spectacular and the buildings were beautiful and very northern. The staff was very into their work and the drinks were made nicely I just got a feel for a northern fishing town and the people were very welcoming. I sat on the deck and looked out over the water with the boats the smells and the cocktails were a perfect combination. If you are in Woods hole you must stop in and experience this great city and bar. I will be back here again
